Welcome To Drive OnLine

Hello and welcome to Drive-Online, a brand-spanking new online magazine all about cars and driving. From cars from the past fifty years to bright shiny new self-driving electric cars using the latest technology.

We hope to bring you a mixture of news, views and reviews, along with tales from the trade. In this launch issue, we feature paying homage to a blast from the past in the form of the Alvis Continuation Series, plus an up-to-date story about the Chinese electric car manufacturer BYD (Build Yout Dreams).

There is also a very informative story on how to get the best deal when you buy a new car, and how owning and driving a car in Japan is a world of difference to how we do it in the West. There is a very interesting take on how we should view the BMW MINI and another revealing story on what happened when I gave up driving due to illness.

The other three stories are of a humorous nature, harking back to a long distant past involving an indiscrete fart machine causing acute embarrassment on a handover of a new Alfa Romeo 156, a lemon of a Volkswagen creating confusion at a dealership, leading the second owner to believe that the first was dead, and an old Jaguar 420G rearranging the rear end of football manager Bob Paisely’s top of the range Hillman Hunter at speed.

Hopefully, at some point in the near future, we will be introducing some guest writers, real car journalists, to add some much-needed gravitas to the proceedings. In the meantime, thank you for popping in to see us and we hope to see you again soon.
